One Loaf Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/4 c. warm water
    2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. sugar
    1 c. hot water
    3 1/2 c. bread flour
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.
    Let stand 10 minutes.
    Add shortening, salt and 2 tablespoons sugar to the hot water.
    Let cool and mix with the yeast mixture.
    Add flour. Knead to make a compact soft ball.
    Cover and let rise until double (about 1 hour).
    Work down and let rise until double again.
    Work down again and make into loaf.
    Let rise until double.
    Put in a 300\u00b0 oven and bake for 1 hour.
