Ingredients

1 c. white sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. oleo
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. dates, cut up
2 1/4 c. Rice Krispies
1/2 c. nuts (optional)
flaked coconut
Preparation

Mix sugar, eggs, oleo, salt and dates; cook in heavy saucepan until it hangs together, stirring constantly, 7 to 10 minutes. Add Rice Krispies and nuts.
Form balls in teaspoon size.
Roll balls in coconut and lay on tray to cool.
