Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/3 c. milk
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. cocoa
large marshmallows
Preparation

Cream the shortening and sugar; add egg, vanilla and milk. Beat until smooth.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and cocoa.
Stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 8 to 9 minutes. Remove from oven and place a large marshmallow on top of each cookie.
Return to oven for 2 to 3 minutes.
Remove from oven and press marshmallow down to cover cookie.
Cool.
Frost with Chocolate Frosting.
