Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/3 c. brown sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 c. nuts
1 c. raisins
1 c. unpeeled chopped apples
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and egg and add 1/2 of dry ingredients.
Blend in the milk and add rest of dry ingredients. Add nuts, raisins and apples.
Drop on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Ice with confectioners sugar, milk and Crisco mixed to form icing.
