Ingredients

2 c. raisins
1 c. water
1 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. sifted plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. pecan chips
Preparation

Cook raisins in water for 5 minutes. Drain well and cool. Cream Crisco and sugar; add eggs, raisins and vanilla. Add sifted dry ingredients, add pecans. Drop by teaspoonfuls, about 1 1 /2 inches apart, on greased cookie sheet. Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove baked cookies from pan immediately. Yields 4 dozen.
