Banana Nut Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour loaf pan. Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add mashed bananas.
    Mix flour, soda, baking powder and salt; mix in gradually.
    Gradually add buttermilk and mix well.
    Add chopped nuts.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
