Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. butter (part butter or margarine)
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0. Mix shortening, sugars, egg and vanilla thoroughly.
    Measure flour and sift (for a softer rounded cookie, add 1/4 cup more flour).
    Stir dry ingredients together.
    Blend in mixture.
    Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Yields 4 to 5 dozen.
