Bishop'S Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. butter or 2 sticks oleo
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    2 small bottles maraschino cherries with a little juice, sliced
    2 pkg. chocolate chips
    1 1/2 pkg. dates, chopped
    1 can Angel Flake coconut
    2 c. pecans, chopped
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix flour and baking powder.
    Cream the butter, sugar and eggs.
    Combine these and add buttermilk and soda.
    Mix well.
    Add cherries with a little juice, chocolate chips, dates, coconut, pecans and vanilla.
    Mix well and divide using 2 loaf pans.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 hours or until done in center.
    Wrap in foil and keep stored in refrigerator.
    This is especially good at holiday time served with coffee.
