Italian Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. flour
    1 lb. sugar
    6 eggs
    3 sticks butter or margarine
    1/4 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 Tbsp. baking powder (heaping)
Preparation
    Mix sugar and eggs in bowl.
    In another bowl, blend together flour and butter, then add sugar mixture.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Knead on floured board until dough is smooth and easy to handle.
    Wrap in towel for 15 minutes.
    Shape small amounts in crescents or small logs onto greased cookie sheet and bake approximately 12 to 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Dust with confectioners sugar or ice, if desired.
