Ingredients

1/2 c. margarine
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. baking soda

Preparation

In large bowl, beat margarine and peanut butter with mixer for 30 seconds.
Add sugars, beating until fluffy.
Add egg, milk and vanilla, beating well.
Sift together dry ingredients.
On low speed, add flour mixture to peanut butter mixture, beating well. Chill for 1 + hours for easy handling.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Roll in additional white sugar.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are firm.
Immediately press chocolate Kisses on top of each cookie.
Place cookies on cooling rack to cool.
