Spoon Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. yellow cornmeal
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter
2 eggs, separated
1 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. boiling water
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Grease and
flour an 8 or 9-inch square pan; set aside. Separate eggs.
Add
soda to egg yolks and mix.
Add remaining ingredients,
except
for
egg
whites
to\tyolk mixture.
Mix thoroughly.
Beat
egg whites until fairly stiff and fold into cornmeal mixture.
Pour
into prepared pan and bake 50 minutes at 350\u00b0.
