Chrusciki (Holiday Cookies) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 egg yolks
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    5 Tbsp. sour cream
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. brandy or cognac
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Add salt to eggs and beat until thick and lemon colored.
    Add sugar and brandy; continue to beat.
    Add sour cream and flour alternately, mixing well after each addition.
    Transfer to well floured board; knead until dough blisters.
    Cut dough in half; roll very thin and cut into strips about 4 inches long.
    Slit each piece in center; pull one end through the slit.
    Fry in hot fat until lightly browned. Drain on absorbent paper and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
