Ingredients

3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. sour milk
1 c. butter or margarine
grated rind and juice of 1 orange
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients.
Cream sugar and butter.
Blend in eggs. Add flour and milk alternately; blend in rind and juice.
Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes. Frost with orange icing, if desired.
