Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. butter flavor Crisco
    1 c. peanut butter
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. Quaker oats, uncooked
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    sugar
Preparation
    Beat first 3 ingredients until creamy.
    Beat in water, egg and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Mix well.
    Cover.
    Chill 2 hours. Shape into 1-inch balls.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork dipped in sugar to form crisscross pattern. Bake 9 to 11 minutes at 350\u00b0 until edges are brown.
    Remove to a wire rack; cool completely.
    Makes 7 dozen.
