Praline Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. unsulphured molasses
    2 1/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 pkg. (6 oz.) butterscotch flavored pieces
    pecan halves
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and egg; mix well.
    Sift in dry ingredients.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Stir in butterscotch pieces.
    Chill in refrigerator two hours.
    Form into approximately 1-inch balls; roll in granulated sugar.
    Place on greased baking sheets.
    Top each with a pecan half.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven 10 to 12 minutes.
