Betty'S Banana Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. raw sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
3 large or 4 medium bananas, mashed
1 c. white flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. whole wheat flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add eggs.
Add mashed bananas and beat well.
Sift white flour, soda, baking powder and salt together; add to the creamed mixture.
Add whole wheat flour. Do not sift the whole wheat flour.
Add vanilla and nuts.
Bake in a well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan for 1 hour at 325\u00b0.
