Cheese And Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. fresh broccoli, cut into 1-inch pieces
    1/3 c. fresh onion, diced
    1 1/4 sticks margarine
    1 c. flour
    2 1/2 qt. chicken stock (10 c. water to 10 tsp. powdered chicken broth)
    1 c. whipping cream
    6 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Cook broccoli with a little salt until tender.
    Drain.
    Melt margarine in a pan and add flour to make roux.
    Stir well.
    Cook 5 minutes.
    Blend in cream, stirring constantly, to make a smooth sauce.
    Add stock and cook to make desired creamed soup consistency.
    Add broccoli and cheese; mix well.
