Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. milk
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Add egg and vanilla.
Beat until fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients.
Stir into creamed mixture with milk.
Chill one hour.
Roll out on board 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with cookie cutter.
Brush with slightly beaten egg white and dip brushed side with sugar.
Place on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
