Bread(Martha Mulligan'S) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 to 2 oz. fresh yeast
    1 c. milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    6 to 7 c. flour
    1/2 c. melted or soft butter
    2 to 3 Tbsp. oil
    butter for brushing (1 stick)
Preparation
    Cream the yeast with a good pinch of salt and sugar.
    Add warmed milk, sugar, eggs and about 4 cups flour.
    Mix and beat well. Add butter and oil. Add more flour and knead until dough is soft and pliant and comes from the sides of the bowl.
    Brush top of dough lightly with oil. Let rise until double in bulk.
    Punch down and form into 2 braids (or loaves or rolls).
    Let rise again. Brush with egg wash (optional).
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for about 40 minutes or until golden brown.
    Brush very generously with melted butter.
