Ingredients

1/2 c. unsalted butter or margarine, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. finely ground almonds
1 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. confectioners sugar
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Preheat oven to 300\u00b0.
Using electric mixer, cream butter, add sugar gradually, flour, salt and vanilla.
Mix well with your hands until dough holds together.
If necessary, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of cold water.
