Ingredients

2 c. brown sugar
2 c. white sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3 c. rolled oats (quick)
1 large pkg. chocolate chips
4 unbeaten eggs
2 c. shortening
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. nuts
Preparation

Mix sugars, eggs and shortening.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to first mixture.
Blend well.
Add oats, chips and nuts.
Roll batter into small balls size of walnuts and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 325\u00b0 or 350\u00b0 (according to oven).
Makes 6 to 7 dozen.
