Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1 c. flour
    1/4 c. sugar (optional)
    4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 egg
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Combine in medium size bowl the first 5 ingredients.
    Beat in rest of ingredients until smooth.
    Pour into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking pan.
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched.
    Cool in pan on wire rack only!
