Mexican Orange And Lemon Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg
    1 tsp. grated orange or lemon peel
    1 tsp. boiling water
    2 Tbsp. orange or lemon juice
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Soak lemon or orange peel in 1 tablespoon of boiling water. Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Cream the shortening and sugar.
    Add egg and peel and water mixture.
    Mix thoroughly.
    Blend in flour alternately with juice.
