Snack Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 c. crispy rice cereal (of some kind)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    In large bowl, combine butter and shortening.
    Beat in sugar, eggs and vanilla until fluffy.
    Stir in flour, baking soda and salt.
    Stir in cereal; mix well.
    Drop by level tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheet 2-inches apart. Bake 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
    Let cool at least 1 minute before removing from baking sheet.
    Makes 6 dozen cookies.
