Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the butter and sugar; beat in egg.
Add salt and flour. Add soda to sour cream.
Add to flour mixture.
Stir well.
Add vanilla; mix well.
Chill overnight; roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness on floured board.
Cut out.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 10 minutes.
Lift with spatula to remove cookies.
