Ingredients

2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 sticks margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sift flour and salt.
Beat margarine, sugar and egg.
Add vanilla.
Stir in flour to make stiff dough.
Chill 3 hours.
Roll out; cut.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown on edges.
Makes 3 dozen.
