Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. light brown sugar
2/3 c. sugar
1 egg, beaten
2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. uncooked oatmeal
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter and sugars thoroughly in a large bowl.
Add egg and beat well.
Sift flour with soda and salt; add to mixture. When blended, stir in oatmeal, dates and nuts.
