Ingredients

1 c. shortening, butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 2)
1/2 c. buttermilk or milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. walnuts, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Mix shortening, sugar and eggs.\tStir in bananas, milk and vanilla.
In a separate bowl, blend flour, soda, nuts and salt.
Stir into batter.
For best results refrigerate batter for an hour before cooking.
