Kissing Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 (9 oz.) pkg. Hershey's chocolate Kisses
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and vanilla at medium speed with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
    Turn mixer speed to low and gradually add flour until well mixed.
    Wrap dough in waxed paper and chill in refrigerator if you prefer to work with a stiffer dough.
    Peel foil from chocolate Kisses and shape dough around each Kiss, using about 2 tablespoonfuls for each one.
    Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake in a 375\u00b0 oven until \"set\" but not brown (10 to 15 minutes).
    Cool and store in airtight container. This recipe will make 4 dozen or more pretty-party cookies that retain the shape of the chocolate Kiss.
