Mr. Hendershot'S Peanut Brittle Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. white sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. clear Karo syrup
    1 tsp. butter
    1 c. peanuts
Preparation
    Combine sugar and syrup and stir well.
    Cook on high heat until light straw color.
    Add vanilla and peanuts.
    Cook to boil, stirring constantly.
    Add butter and soda; stir well and pour on buttered platter at once.
    Let cool and break into pieces.
