Cherry Pecan Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. butter
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1/4 c. water
    1 egg
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the sugar, butter and egg until light and fluffy.
    Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together.
    Add flour mixture to chopped nuts and cut up cherries.
    Add both mixtures together. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan.
    Let stand 20 minutes. Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
