Quick Raisin Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1 c. milk
1 c. chopped nuts or raisins
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat eggs and sugar until light, then add milk, salt and raisins and mix well.
Add melted shortening.
Sift all-purpose flour.
Measure, then sift again with baking powder and stir into first mixture.
Fill greased and floured bread pans half full of mixture and let stand 20 minutes.
Bake for 60 minutes in moderate oven (350\u00b0).
