Ingredients

1 c. butter or oleo (I use 1 stick butter, 1 stick oleo)
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
5 c. flour
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Cream oleo, butter, oil and sugar, then add eggs and dry ingredients.
Chill dough 30 minutes.
Make into balls the size of a walnut.
Butter the bottom of a flat bottom glass.
Dip glass in sugar and flatten ball of dough.
Bake 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
Makes 7 dozen.
Great for Christmas cookies with colored sugar.
