Banana Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
    2 eggs
    3 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 c. milk (add 2 tsp. white vinegar)
    3 very ripe bananas
    1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening;
    add eggs and mix thoroughly. Stir soda into milk mixture; add milk mixture alternately with flour
    and\tmashed\tbananas
    to
    shortening.
    Add
    nuts. Grease 2 loaf pans;\tadd mixture.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes. When butter knife comes out clean, bread is done. Remove from pans and
    cool
    on wire rack.
    May be frozen for 1 month.
