Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Preparation

Mix all ingredients; knead into ball.
Refrigerate overnight, covered.
Warm dough by room temperature.
Roll dough on sugar or flour.
Use cookie cutters of choice.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
