Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
4 eggs
3 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. milk
2 Tbsp. orange juice
3 c. flour (1 c. used to dredge fruit in)
6 c. chopped pecans
1 lb. candied cherries
1 lb. candied pineapple
1 lb. other fruit
Preparation

Grease cookie sheets.
Mix together sugar, Crisco, eggs, soda, salt, milk, orange juice and 2 cups flour.
Dredge fruit and nuts in remaining 1 cup flour until well coated.
Mix all ingredients together.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 225\u00b0 until light brown.
Store in airtight container or cookie tin.
