Aunt Pauline'S "Brown Sugar Cookies" - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 1/2 to 4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Mix well; chill dough 2 hours.
    Dough will need flour kneaded into it to ready it for rolling out into cookies.
    Great for Christmas cookies or anytime.
    Roll thick cookies for soft ones or thin cookies for crispier ones.
    To make sandwich cookies with preserves in between, bake filled cookies in oven at 350\u00b0 for 7 to 10 minutes.
