Adirondack Camp Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. granulated sugar
    1 lb. brown sugar
    2 lb. Crisco shortening
    8 eggs
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    8 1/2 c. flour
    4 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    3/4 c. coconut (optional)
Preparation
    In a very large bowl, beat sugars, Crisco, eggs and vanilla until creamy.
    Add flour, baking soda and salt.
    Mix well.
    Gently stir in chocolate chips and coconut.
    Using a rounded soup spoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
