Ingredients

1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. soft butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts or pecans
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate pieces
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
In large bowl, sift flour with soda and salt.
Add sugars, egg, vanilla and butter.
With wooden spoon or portable electric mixer at medium speed, beat until smooth and well combined, about 1 minute.
Stir in nuts and chocolate pieces. Drop by teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto greased cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden.
Remove from oven; cool.
