Crunchy Crisps Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (half butter)
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 1/4 c. rolled oats
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. grated coconut
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar together.
    Add vanilla and egg; beat until fluffy.
    Add flour, salt and baking powder to creamed mixture.
    Add rolled oats and mix thoroughly.
    Add grated coconut and blend well into dough.
    Drop by teaspoon and bake at 375\u00b0 for about 12 minutes.
