Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1/2 c. each margarine, milk and cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/2 c. uncooked oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Preparation

In a saucepan, combine sugar, margarine and milk.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, for 3 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop by teaspoon onto waxed paper. Cookies will get firm as they cool.
Makes 4 to 5 dozen. Freezes well.
