Diabetic Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1 c. raisins
    1/2 c. chopped apples
    1 c. water
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. chopped nuts
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/4 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine dates, raisins, apples and water.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes.
    Cool.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Chill dough. Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
    Best if kept frozen.
    Very moist.
