Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Stir into creamed mixture and roll on floured board as thin as possible.
Cut in desired shapes.
Sugar crystals may be sprinkled on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
Cool and store in closed container.
