Ingredients

1 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. water
1 c. shortening (not butter)
2 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Boil together raisins and water until 1 cup water remains. Let cool.
Cream shortening and sugars.
Mix in eggs.
Add sifted dry ingredients.
Mix in vanilla and raisins (juice also).
Spread on 2 greased cookie sheets.
Remove and put on glaze frosting.
