Ingredients

1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. oats
1 c. chopped pecans
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Mix shortening and sugars and add eggs.
Add dry ingredients to first mixture; add oats, coconut, nuts and vanilla.
Makes very thick dough.
Roll in balls and press with fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Yield:
8 dozen.
