Hot Apple Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. apple cider
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 cinnamon sticks
    8 whole allspice
    12 cloves
Preparation
    Mix all in 2-quart saucepan. Stir. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cool, then refrigerate, covered, several hours. Heat slowly before serving. Strain to remove spices. Makes 8 servings.
