Ingredients

1 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. butter, softened
3 c. plain flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
2 Tbsp. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

In 1 quart saucepan melt butterscotch chips on low heat, stirring constantly until smooth (3 to 5 minutes).
Pour into large mixer bowl; add all other ingredients.
Beat at low speed, scraping sides of bowl often, until well mixed.
Divide dough in half; wrap in plastic wrap.
Refrigerate until firm (1 hour).
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
On lightly floured surface roll out dough, half at a time to 1/8 inch.
Cut with cookie cutters.
Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.
Bake 5 to 8 minutes or until edges are lightly brown. Cool.
