Bishop'S Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped, pitted dates
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. sliced maraschino cherries
4 eggs, beaten
Preparation

Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl. Stir in nuts, dates, cherries and chocolate pieces.
In a small bowl beat eggs and sugar.
Stir into flour mixture.
Turn into well-greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until top is golden and pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on rack for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
Cool completely, top side up on rack. Makes 1 loaf.
