Strawberry Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. allspice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. milk
1/3 c. shortening, melted
1 egg, beaten
2 to 3 c. mashed, fresh strawberries
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/3 c. seedless raisins, soaked and drained

Preparation

Sift first 7 ingredients together.
Mix milk, shortening and egg; add to flour mixture, stirring just enough to moisten.
Fold in strawberries, nuts and raisins.
