Orange-Pecan Buttermilk Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    peel from 1 orange
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. fresh orange juice
    2/3 c. buttermilk
    3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease two 8 x 3 1/2-inch loaf pans. Peel orange and place peel and sugar in food processor. Process until finely chopped.
    Place flour, baking powder and salt in a large bowl; add orange and sugar mixture.
    In smaller bowl, place egg, orange juice, buttermilk and vegetable oil; mix well and pour into flour mixture.
    Mix with a few quick strokes.
    Do not overmix.
    Fold in pecans. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.
    Bake in preheated oven 50 minutes or until done.
